This is a recipe I discovered by total accident.
It’s not only delicious and satisfying, but it’s a great low calorie non fat snack that will carry over for hours. Best part is that it only takes 30 seconds to prepare
- 1 cup Plain non fat Greek yogurt (note: stay away from the yogurts with fruit flavors- these are so deceptive they have just as much sugar in them as a Twix bar!)
- ½ Cooked sweet potato (inside only and cooled – preferably very soft, no skin)
- Cinnamon (a dash will do ya!)
- Berries (optional but always delicious)
Mix all ingredients together – you can use a blender but not necessary (and is also messy to clean)
Freeze for 10 minutes then enjoy!
This treat is low in Saturated Fat and Cholesterol. It is also a good source of Dietary Fiber, Vitamin B6 and Potassium, and a very good source of Vitamin A, Vitamin C and Manganese.
